It was quite a traumatic experience (for all of us). . . It's miraculous actually that my hair turned out remotely normal with all the kicking, headlocks and tears. 
We'll save the touch up work for Mimi. . . In fact, we may let Mimi take over in this department completely! :)

Those first few are traumatic. . . we remember well :) Especially now that he 'gets' what is going on! I think it looks super handsome :)
