lots of smiles and my new tricks :)

I finally figured out how to crawl forward. I've been on the verge of coordinating my arms and legs for a couple of weeks now, but this morning it really clicked! Mommy stepped in the bathroom to blow dry her hair, and to her surprise I had maneuvered across the bedroom by the time she finished! She immediately shut the door to the stairwell and thanked God that I hadn't decided to move in that direction while she was in the bathroom! Time to baby proof! :)
As you can see in the video above, my balance is incredible for my age (at least that's what Mommy thinks- she's pretty amazed by everything I do). I can stand holding on to things for quite some time! It's one of my favorite tricks! :)

lots of laughs! :)

Aunt Rachel makes me giggle so hard I can hardly breathe!! :) As you'll see in this video, I'm becoming more mobile. I'm now able to maneuver between point A and point B as long as B is behind me. :)

This morning's crawling lesson with Mom. . .

my new toys :)

My BiG boy high chair and car seat were delivered during my nap today. Mommy was so excited for me to wake up and test them out!

My new high chair supports my head so well it makes me sleepy. I started to doze off during dinner and got a little sad. I just wanted Mommy to wash my face and hands so we could cuddle.

This is my new car seat. Mommy has researched relentlessly for weeks attempting to find one with great ratings at a reasonable price. Britax was highly recommend by my friend, Zion, but Daddy had a minor heart attack when Mommy showed him the price. Fortunately, Mommy stumbled across a website called babygizmo.com (which we highly recommend to anyone buying baby gear!). This one was on their top 5. . . (Actually, we purchased my Chicco high chair because of it's great review on the site as well.) :) . . . We still haven't attempted to install the car seat in our Mazda. It looks huge. Hope it fits!! It's going to be a much more comfortable ride if it does!! :)

These two pics don't really fit with the theme of this post, but Mommy wanted to include them anyway. . . :)

such a BiG boy

This is one of Mommy's favorite smiles. . . :)Daddy's teaching me to walk.

I've been using my Bumbo to eat, but as you can see in this video I've almost entirely outgrown it. Mommy and Daddy ordered a high chair on Amazon last night (scheduled to arrive tomorrow. YeAY!), so this is my last night to use it. :)

for Mimi :)

Mimi's upset that we haven't posted in so many days (she holds us accountable to update the family regularly on my development), so this one is specifically for her. :) Sorry we don't have more pictures. We haven't really taken many lately (shocking, I know- particularly for those who know my mom's obsession with capturing every second of my life!)

This picture was taken just moments before a torrential down pour (a wedding had just begun in the sunken garden- poor bride!)! Mommy and I hid under a tree (and under the cover on my stroller) while Daddy ran to get the car. We were drenched (to say the least)- EsPecIaLLY DaDdY!! Wish we would have gotten a picture of him after his run to the car. :)

Mommy found lots of cute fall/winter clothes at a consignment sale last week. We had a fashion show Saturday morning for Mrs. Lindsey and Mrs. Maci . . . They stopped by for a surprise visit to show us some adorable things they found for Adeline! :)

This is Daddy's favorite sweater, one he bought before I was born. It's 0-3 months, but he's convinced it fits well enough for me to wear it this fall. :)

These are my fake Robeez. :) And literally the only time I've ever worn shoes in my life. . . for a couple of reasons. #1- I live in Tennessee, shoes are optional here. :) And #2- my feet are so fat (understatement!) that they don't fit in normal shoes. Looks like Robeez are the only shoe I'll be wearing for a while. Thank goodness they're pediatrician recommended! :)

Hand Play. . . :)

Mommy and Daddy are amazed at how quickly I'm catching on to the hand motions of gestures, songs and games.

Aunt Rachel taught me how to high five and wave "bye-bye" . . . :)
And Mommy and I sing open shut them. If you look closely, you can see my hand open when she says "open" and close when she says "shut them" . . . I'm much more intelligent than many suspect! :)

I'm NeW EVERY DaY!! :)

a day with Bri :)

Mommy and I played with Briley today while Mrs. Angela was at work. We had so much fun! We went on a walk, played with lots of Bri's toys, and worked on my crawling technique. Mommy now has a deeper appreciation for her friends with more than one child. It's not easy juggling the needs of multiple babies!

a WHOLE night with Mimi and Popi

I stayed with Mimi and Popi last night (all night) while Mommy and Daddy celebrated their anniversary. We had so much fun!! They took me to visit Uncle Kyle and Aunt Molly in the country. I ate lots of hay and listened to bluegrass at Millers. :)

This is what I was wearing when Mommy and Daddy came to pick me up. It's a pumpkin costume Mimi made me. They laughed SO HARD! :)

I was so happy to finally see my Mommy and Daddy! Mommy looks sleepy in this picture, but she wasn't. . . She slept an entire night without waking once for the first time in over a year! :)
All the Willis BoYs!
Yes, I'm eating leaves. . . A little something I learned from Bear Grylls!
