One year ago today we lost a baby. The slipping of that child from my womb induced a pain so sharp and suffocating it is forever etched in my memory. It was the beginning of a long and complex season of would-have-beens and ultimate surrender. Our child was more than a fluke, more than a cluster of cells, he was a gift of God, his grace to us. . .
Today we do not memorialize death, but instead celebrate and revel in all the life God gives (no matter the duration). This day among others stands pronounced as an ideal time to announce that we are again PREGNANT (12 weeks to be exact, due May 19th).
Where there is love there is life!!
Just for fun we created a gender poll on the left column of our blog. We would love for you to cast a vote as your intuition speaks. We scheduled a 4D Peek ultrasound for November 23rd, so we should know for sure then (if baby cooperates).
And I leave you with this. . .
I enjoy observing the evolution of our children through models and photos of fetuses (strange to some I'm sure). Anti-abortion campaigns offer the most profound images of life in the womb in my opinion. Here are two examples of what our baby looks like this week! :)
